Montenegro has three ski resorts with lift systems, ski rentals and marked trails.

KOLASIN 1450

The largest and most recently developed of these is Kolasin 1450. The addition of a new high speed 6 seater chairlift in 2010 opened up new trails and increased capacity. Kolasin also has the only snowmaking systems in Montenegro. Two 4 star mountain resort hotels, and some excellent traditonal restaurants make Kolasin an ideal place for a weekend ski break. The Kolasin 1450 ski resort also played host to the start of the tough ARMeX adventure race in October 2010.

ZABLJAK

Dominated by Montenegro's highest peak the ski town of Zabljak has two ski areas and with the new road link to the coast which was completed in 2010, driving time from the Bay of Kotor is now down to 2.5 hours in good weather. Some excellent standard mountain ski chalets and new hotel ski lodge accommodations have opened in recent years and with Zabljak's tendency to receive large dumps of snow on a regular basis through the winter months, this area is up and coming as a weekend ski destination.

VUCJE

The closest resort to the coast, located close to Niksic, Vucje is a weekend resort used by locals and day trippers from the neighbouring areas. A pleasant, family oriented small resort.

Kolasin's large base area, with excellent ski rental facilities and ski school.
