XVII Paths of King Nikola Cycle Race, 28th April – 1st May. Throughout Montenegro. Annual road cycle race on the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Continental Circuit (Europe Tour), which attracts some of Europe's best road cycling teams. The winners gain World Championship and Olympic qualifying points. Each year the race passes through some of Montenegro´s most historic towns and over amazing mountain passes. Over the Mountains of Montenegro, date TBC, Northern Montenegro. Over the Mountains of Montenegro pairs experienced Balkan climbers with amateurs to transverse Montenegro's breathtaking long distance hiking trails over 3 weekends. Every year the Mountaineering Association of Montenegro opens up their skills in climbing and hiking to the general public. This year they will be teaching novices the basics of mountaineering, as well as leading multiple long distance hikes over Montenegro's beautiful mountain transversals. ARMeX 48 hour Endurance Adventure Race, 16th – 18th September, Montenegro. The race is already gaining lots of international attention and involves a truly international field of racers. ARMeX is a non profit event which races money for a conservation project to study the large mammal species in Montenegro. Montenegro Off-road Discovery, 15th – 18th September, Kotor – Zabljak – Kolasin.
The Montenegro Off Road Discovery is an off road rally testing both man and vehicle's ability to transverse Montenegro's rugged mountains. This international offroad rally, to explore unknown backcountry roads. Find yourself face to face with the "Wild Beauty" and learn more about the life in the mountains. Discover remote regions, which are often unknown even to the Montenegrin themselves. The maximum number of participating vehicles is 25. The yearly changing route takes you into stunning landscapes. Participants drive their own vehicles and compete to reach each checkpoint at an appointed time, this is not a speed race! Adventure Race Montenegro Coastal Challenge - 24th September, Bay of Kotor.
