Day Sailing in the Bay of Kotor

One day sailing and sunset cruises in the Bay of Kotor - from all locations within the bay

The yacht is owned by a British couple who permanently live aboard Monty B. The Owners act as hosts/skipper for the day - but the boat is yours. It is up to you how you wish to spend the day on board but we would recommend taking a tour around the bays, admiring the stunning scenery, visiting swimming spots, relaxing on board and, of course, sailing. Doze off in the hammock or learn how to sail and manoeuvre a yacht, it is up to you. Timings/itineraries can be altered to suit and overnight trips can be quoted for.

One Day Sailing (typical itinerary based from Kotor)

You will be picked up at 1100h from a convenient location. Tea and coffee are served as you set off and your hosts will familiarise you with the boat and give a safety briefing.

 

Depending on the wind, you will either sail or motor-sail towards Perast with a stop off for swimming under the awe-inspiring mountains at the Ljuta end of the bay. At Perast, you will take a leisurely cruise along the waterfront and around the historic islands of St George and Gospa od Skrpjela, before heading up the Verige Channel towards the Boka Tivatska with stops for swimming and exploring.

Upon reaching the middle of Tivat bay, the engine will be turned off and lunch served so you can take in the peace and quiet that you can only experience on the water.

After lunch, you will sail (conditions permitting) around the islands of Sv Marko and Ostrov Cvijeca (the Island of Flowers) before heading back towards the Boka Kotorska. As the day draws to an end you will return with the sun setting behind the mountains and islands of Perast which is a fantastic photo opportunity. As a perfect end to the day, stop to take in the silence beneath the soaring mountains for an optional sunset swim and complimentary drinks on deck, returning to land before dusk.

Afternoon / Sunset Cruises

You will be picked up from a convenient location around 1500h. Drinks are served as you get underway and your hosts will familiarise you with the boat and give a safety briefing.

 

Depending on the location of the cruise and the wind conditions you might sail or motor-sail towards Perast. At Perast, the yacht will take a leisurely cruise along the waterfront and around the historic islands of St George and Our Lady of the Rock (Gospa od Skrpjela). If cruising in the outer bay then a trip out to the Island of Mamula, heading back in towards Herceg Novi at sundown with the stunning mountain panorama before you is not to be missed.

Light snacks and drinks are served as you glide back from the tour, with the sun setting behind the mountains and islands for a fantastic photo opportunity. As a perfect end to the day, you will stop to take in the silence beneath the soaring mountains of the Boka Kotorska for an optional sunset swim and drinks on deck, returning to land before dusk.

Light snacks and complimentary drinks are included in the price.

Summer 2010 Prices

Prices are fully inclusive for the boat, not per person*. They include a healthy lunch (full day) or light snacks (afternoon/sunset), tea and coffee, drinking water and drinks (G&Ts) at sundown. The prices also includes skipper, hostie and fuel. You are welcome to bring along extra food and drinks too!

Full Day Cruise : EUR 399.00 (maximum 6 people)

Afternoon/Sunset Cruise : EUR 299.00 (basis 6 people) / EUR 349.00 (basis 7 or 8 people)
